First of all, I'm only talking about their grilled food here and not their ice cream which I presume is the same everywhere out of the machine. I do love DQ all around Montana, I find the quality is usually better and fresher than any other fast food joint but this one isn't even close to being like the rest of them. We had to feed our bag of burgers to our dogs and they wouldn't even eat them cause of all the excess mustard that was sloped on the dried out and stale burgers and buns. Come on, get it together West DQ!

For some reason, yelp shows this place way out of town, when it is actually not. If the weather is good, you'll see a big line in front of the place. It's a walk-by type a location with spots for some to sit, but best to just grab n go. Quick n fast. Can't go wrong

The only place open in "West" after 10 PM. Rolling in off the river after the last of the Caddis hatch, my dinner often consisted of a Grillburger (or two), Fries, Chicken Fingers, and the obligatory Blizzard, Shake or Sundae. I normally am a fan of DQ, but especially loved this one...during the summer it's staffed with irreverent Jamaican kids who could care less about keeping the business running smoothly rather than joking and laughing... "hey Mon...yo burga is oop". But they always had a smile, and I never seemed to have to wait too long, even with the crowds. So, if you find yourself in West late a night, head on over for a frostry treat and a laugh.

Best Dairy Queen ever. This Dairy Queen is always packed. Doesn't matter if it's midday or 10 PM at night, there's always a ton of people here. Tables outside are usually full with people stuffing their faces with ice cream and calories. I don't blame them. I come here often and pile on the calories by excessively consuming Carmel milkshakes. Sometimes I'll try something different like french fries but the french fries are off this year. Previous seasons I could live solely on Carmel milkshakes and french fries. This year I've had to switch to just the Carmel milkshakes. Of course this means I could get a bigger size than I normally do. Staff is always friendly. Sometimes they get your order wrong but you can usually score the mixup and the correct order if you're nice. Often employees are from foreign exchange programs. I ran into some Bulgarians and got to practice my Bulgarian! How often do you get to do that? And sorry yelpers I hate to give a fast food restaurant five stars but hopefully you'll understand, there is nothing in this town, they're always open and the milkshakes are delicious and you have to consume something after a long day.

Do yourself a favor and eat ANYWHERE ELSE in town. That includes the dumpster behind the shady Chinese place that likely serves the neighboring cats in their sweet and sour. You'd be better off. We were there over Independence Day weekend 2015. We ordered our food and then proceeded to wait 20 minutes without any food coming out, at which point we went to the window to inquire. They came up with excuses and said they lost our order, offering absolutely NO apology. 5 minutes later they brought out half our food. We waited another 10 minutes for the rest of it. The fries they brought out were FROZEN in the middle. Ice. Cold. Frozen. After returning the fries, they again offered no apology whatsoever, and replaced them 5 minutes later. Next order of business: the hamburger. I ordered mine without onions. Of course, they screwed it up, and THANK THE SWEET MOTHER OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN THEY DID!!! As I was picking the onions off my burger, low and behold, what did I find, but a giant, disgusting, CURLY BLACK HAIR in the middle of my hamburger. OH MY $&%#^. We then proceeded to stomp back up there and demand our money back, and the teenager in the tank top that claimed to be the manager just stared at us with a dumb look on her face. Once again, not a single apology was offered. Easy to say we will never be back and we will never refer anyone! Just don't do it. Be smart, don't start!

When you are in need of some food in West Yellowstone and everything else is either closed or charges an astonishing amount for a meal, Dairy Queen is (surprisingly) a good bet in this town! The portions are small, yes, as other reviewers have noted. But the food is fresh and good. The staff are definitely not local, but are friendly and courteous just the same.

No zero star?!! Portion is extremely small, compared to anywhere else in the world. I ordered a chicken wrap and they have me a snack size wrap!! I was astonished...my friend ordered a half a pound burger, and it looks like quarter pound. Such a cheating place! Don't go! Go to McDonald instead!
